Just wanted to clarify that it&#039;s absolutely not a direct competitor to SES, SMX, pubcon, etc. (I speak at all of them and help organize many of the sessions at SMX.) In fact, you are right that the conference isn&#039;t about marketing. Marketing is absolutely critical to websites, but as you point out, the existing conferences do a great job of covering the important topics there. However, there aren&#039;t many conferences out there aimed specifically at web developers that focus directly on the technical issues web developers face regarding SEO. 

We are hoping to really drill into technical infrastructure issues and solutions for a very technical developer audience. So while marketers and marketing are vital to overall SEO, that aspect of SEO isn&#039;t what this conference will focs on.</description>
