steve,

I agree that splogs (spam blogs) are a huge part of the MFA problem. These splogs do tend to fill up Google's SERPs. Hopefully by cracking down on MFA sites by not allowing them into the AdSense program, there will be less incentive to create MFAs.

With all this talk about Google banning MFA sites, I have to also wonder about how this will affect blogs. I searched for "google, mfa" in Google's search box. I have now read over 10 blogs that have pretty much the same content....some that are pretty much cut and paste posts which add little value. More than a few of these blogs run Adsense as well. There's a lot of redundant content on the blogosphere as well. Some bloggers best skill seems to be " copy and paste".

Exactly Dave. It's the lack of any real content that makes it a problem. It makes the site useless for anyone unlucky enough to stumble across it.

Thanks for the article and the link to Shoemoney. I think Google should go after anyone with a MFA/arbitrage business model. If these site owners actually but some real unique content on their sites they would not have a problem.
