Yes, smart pricing is tricky to figure out. Google does not let us know much of what goes into the smart pricing algorithm and there is no way for a publisher to know which click convert or not.

SERPs changing can be a killer that depend on the for traffic.

Although I still don’t completely understand how it works, it could be “smart pricing.”

It could also be a reshuffling of your highest earning page(s) in the SERPs.
